Pembroke Pines, FL.

Another fantastic Draft for known players that have played in the Florida Premier Baseball League. This years MLB Player Draft got started with the Chicago White Sox choosing one of our  home grown players in the 1st round and 10th pick over all Zack Collins. Zack started his playing days in the league at the young age of 9u under the direction of Coach Mike White. The team was based out of West Pines and later became the PPO Bengals. That same team produced 3 players all drafted this year; Zack, Willie Abreu (UM) and Danny Zardon (Nova Southeastern University)  Along with these three CJ Chatham was drafted in the 2nd round by the Boston Red Sox, CJ played the past 3 years at FAU where he played SS. CJ was part of the Elite Squad Baseball summer team that won a National Championship and  has had 9 players(unconfirmed) drafted from that team.

Also, some really talented High School players were also Drafted. Jesus Luzardo a pitcher went in the 3rd round drafted by the Nationals and his High School and Travelball teammate Colton Welker went in the 4th round and picked by the Colorado Rockies, these two played travelball and in the Premier League with the West Boca Panthers. Also, out of HS Anthony Molina and a very talented ball player out of West Broward HS was drafted by the Angels in the 13th round.

University of Miami Senior SS Brandon Lopez a slick fielding SS was picked in the 10th round by the Minnesota Twins. Lopez played for the Bulldogs back in his league days and was later Coached by Juan Basto with the Renegades and Weston Hawks. lastly three years ago Sean Anderson had the distinct honor of being the last player selected in the Draft out of American Heritage HS, Sean decided that it was best for him to go to School and pursuit his dream at the University of Florida, well his dream of becoming a major leaguer is off to a good start so far,  in this year's draft  he was chosen in the 3rd round and 88th player overall by the Boston Red Sox Organization.

So, to all of you that I've mention and those that I don't know about Congratulations on being drafted and keep on pursuing your Dream and I hope that it comes true.
