Fifi's 305 Bulldogs Take Naples Fall State Championship in the Open Division

Pembroke Pines, FL.

Nations Fall State Champions Shine !
FIfi and 305 Bulldogs Get Their Rings !

They say that If you don't succeed the first time you try again......well for Fifi and the 305 Bulldogs it took a lot of determination and perseverance before she could get her first Nations Ring. She has been wanting these rings for her boys for quite sometime and has always been a supporter of all of our events and despite having a tough summer where she lost 5 of her players Fifi was determined to keep these boys playing together as she has for close to 5 years. Not being able to play in the Florida Premier League was a bit frustrating said Fifi, as  she has always played in the league and loves the competition, but sometimes things work in mysterious ways.

The 305 Bulldogs fought hard this weekend in the 13u Open Division. The team had a 6-6 tie against the Broward Ballers in the first pool game and barely got past Caribe 5-4 in their second pool game.....now playing their third game on Saturday the Bulldogs fought off the Weston Hawks-Red to a 2-0 win and that win put them in the quarterfinals. The Bulldogs would take on Caribe's team picked by most to win it all, well don't tell the Bulldogs that, Fifi and the 305 Boys took care of business in a 6-2 win and on to the Ship !
After a hard fought battle with the Parkland Pokers another team that had plenty of great moments and games in this tournament, the two played hard and fair but in the end Fifi's Boys outlasted the Pokers to win their Rings !!

The beauty of the game of baseball is that size, name or past history doesn't matter what matters is what you do on the field on that day.
After a two month break from a busy Spring and Summer season the PL Siege got back on the field and quickly found out that is Baseball and although they posses a terrific talented team, on any given day anyone can beat anybody and on Saturday they ran into a pitcher that was determine to do just that....Elite Squad Brady Custer was all business when he got the call to start the game against the Siege, but what he didn't know was that he was only going to throw one or maybe two Innings at the most according to Coach Nelson Cristobal, but little did we know what was about to take place.

Brady was so focused that it seemed from the outside he was on his own zip code and nothing around him seemed to bother him.....Brady kept the talented Siege players off balance and guessing at what was coming next and when they managed to get on base he had a crafty quick move to first base which the Siege players had trouble with it and with that move managed to pick-off a couple of players. Brady's velocity was not the dominating factor in his repertoire, but the ability to locate and change speeds is what got the Siege players chasing and although the plan was for Brady to throw 1 or 2 Innings it didn't work out that way, he was in what we call in sports in the ZONE....untouchable on this day as he would shut out the PL Siege 2-0 and would go the distance to win the game and on this day he was not to be denied.
PL Siege Roars Back with 3 Straight Shut-Out Games

The Giant was awaken. After the 2-0 loss to the Elite Squad in  the second game in Pool play the PL Siege went on tear. The Siege won the next three games without allowing a single run. Derek Bernudez got the call in the Championship Game and took care of business as he would shut down the talented and much Improved Florida Knights. This win gave the PL Siege an automatic entry to Nations Elite 5 Invitational on Dec 3-4th in Vero Beach and a chance to win the Nations Triple Crown Series.

Line Drive Baseball 12u  Takes Down The Elite Squad Outlaws

The top two teams in this division did not disappoint me
or anyone watching this game.
While both of these teams cruised through pool play, when it got to the Championship Game it was all business and hard fought baseball. The game was tied 1-1 until the fourth inning when an apparent double play hit ball was not turned, this seemed to open the scoring and an error in the outfield kept the Inning alive in which Line Drive broke it open to a 4-1 lead, although a 3 run lead may not seemed a lot in some games, but in the case of the Line Drive team it did specially with Pitcher George Alexander a tall lanky kid with a golden arm, that was not about to give up any runs. George came in relief in the top of the 4th Inning and pitched 3 scoreless Inning to give Line Drive the win and a PAID entry to Nations Elite 5 Invitational on Dec 3-4th In Vero Beach
