Parkland Pokers 13U stayed in it until the end, but PLO White pulled away late in a 14-6 victory on Wednesday. The game was tied at four with PLO White batting in the bottom of the fourth when Gonzalez drew a walk, scoring one run.
Parkland Pokers 13U collected six hits and PLO White had 11 in the high-scoring affair.
PLO White fired up the offense in the first inning, when Wilson singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
PLO White pulled away for good with two runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Downs grounded out, scoring one run and Gonzalez drew a walk, scoring one run.
PLO White scored five runs in the fifth inning. Hernandez and Aguila each had RBIs in the frame.
Gonzalez led things off on the mound for PLO White. Gonzalez surrendered four runs on three hits over three and a third innings, striking out eight.
PLO White had 11 hits in the game. Hernandez, Alvarez, and Pereira each collected multiple hits for PLO White. PLO White tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Wilson led the way with two. PLO White didn't commit a single error in the field. Gonzalez had the most chances in the field with one.
