The threat of rain was there, but so were the boys to play the games and what a day it was. The first Spring Break Invitational held by the Pembroke Lakes Bulldogs Optimist Club was nothing more than a sensational Nations Tournament. Chris Baxter & Mark Groeneveld did a terrific job as Directors making sure all games were played as scheduled and rules were followed.

The event had a few surprises, but most of all it was a fun day at the ballpark. The Tournament had over 40 teams in 8 divisions starting with the 7 Under through 14 Under.

The one major surprise happened in the 12 Under division as the number # 1 ranked team in the Country PL Siege was defeated by the # 10 ranked team the Miami Outlaws. The Outlaws defeated the PL Siege in convincing fashion, but then went on to play the Florida Knights in the Championship Game and were beaten in a close game 5-3

The South Florida Wolfpack 11Under team continues to roll over the competition in South Florida. The Wolfpack beat the Miramar Canes  in the Championship Game. The Canes used a 3 run double by Vincent Capone in the last Inning to defeat the Parkland Pokers 7-4 in teh semifinal game.

Team Miami 10u jumped on Doral King Sluggers early and often as they too won their won their Championship Game in convincing fashion.

Panama Mutiny Legends 13U beat the Miami Outlaws 8-3 to win it all. The Mutiny went undefeated in the tournament 4-0

The 14u had ended in dramatic fashion as USA Blue walked off on the the Elite Squad South 4-3. In our two Coach Pitched divisions the 7u Miami Tigers defeated Team Miami 4-0 and in the 8u Team Miami beat the PL Bulldogs 9-3
