While, It's been a few years since their playing days in the FPBL, these two young man were stars back in their playing days in the league. Zack Collins was a standout middle Infielder for the West Pines Cobras Coached my Mike White. Zack started his High School playing days at University School and as an 8th grader was a starter for Coach Richie Palmer. He later transfer to Flanagan High School for one year and would finished out his High School years at America Heritage where they won a State Championship. Drafted by the Cincinnati Reds Zack and his family opted to go to College at the University of Miami and is now a promising top prospects whose dream of becoming a Professional baseball player is soon to become.
On the other hand CJ Chattam, who played for several teams in the league was a standout shortstop and pitcher and what I recall had the ability to drop tanks at an early age. CJ went to Nova High School where he played for legendary High School Coach Pat McQuaid. Both CJ & Zack were teammates during the summer when they played for the South Florida Elite Squad a team that won a National Championship.
These two players will have a couple of months before their professional baseball career will get underway, we'd like to wish both a lot success and the best of luck in the upcoming MLB Draft.
