Well, although my league  predictions are not out just yet, there are a few divisions with some favorites to win it all.

Many of the new teams in  the league this season have come down from the north division and also as well from the PCBTL, so what can we expect from the newcomers.....................it's going to be TOUGH !!

We're going to preview the 8's & 9's  Division today. Lets take a look at the Rookies, the 8u teams most of them playing travel ball for the first time.

The clear-cut favorite has to be the Weston Hawks. The Hawks 8u team is a very aggressive and seasoned 8u team where they've been playing together for over a year now, and have gone North & South to face the best and they've come up on top in most tournaments. They're the 8u defending League Champion and have won several tournaments in the last couple of months. The Hawks just placed runner-up in the USSSA Hawks Spring Season Tune-up Tournament to the RPB Piranaz a team that will make their debut in the FPBL this season. So, who will end up being the the "TOP DAWG" in '09 ? well here are my top 5 selections.

1. Weston Hawks...............Experienced 8 year olds !
2. Hialeah Crush..................They're always in the hunt
3. RBP Piranaz.....................The word is out  & they're good !
4. Wellington Wariors...........Always a sound program....should do very well.
5. Dade Panthers..................Another veteran team that's geeting better with age
