Opening Games this weekend draws exciting games with newcomers to the league...


 

With all of the new teams coming into the league this season and some AAA teams being moved up to the Majors something had to take place in these opening games.

The stage was set on Saturday when the defending 9u league champion SF Extreme came up to Miramar to face the 9u Canes, in a very close game and trailing most of the game, the Canes fought back  and walked away with a 8-6 victory in the first game, but the SF Extreme put it all together as they pounded the Canes 14-0 in the nightcap.

Also, in the 9u the Florida Pokers and the Wellington Warriors split their two games with each team winning by one run, the Pokers took the first game 9-8 and the Warriors the second game 10-9 The Wellington Warriors-Gold took a pair from the Weston Hawks, while the Okeeheelee Canes and the Bears split their two games. Team Renteria took a pair from the Palm Beach Garden Thunder on Sunday after tying the PL Bulldogs on Saturday. The West Boca Panthers took two from the PPO Bengals to start the season 2-0 in the 9u AAA Division.

The 8u Hialeah Crush beat the Wellington Warriors in their two games, while in the 10u had the Weston Rattlers beating the CC Cowboys 6-2 and the Wellington Warriors defeating  the Parkland Pokers-White 11-6

The 11u South Florida Bombers took a pair from the SF Stealth and the Tamarac Titans fought a hard game against League Champion Nike Cobras only to go down 5-1 while the Pro Ball Cobras squeeze past TPX 4-3 but TPX would win the second game 13-4 Also, last season AAA team PSN Predators makes an Impressive debut in the Majors division only to lose a close 3-2 contest against the Blue Lightning and the Weston Hawks beat the SF Renegades 7-5 The Parkland Pokers got past the Nationals 7-4

The 12U Panthers Baseball are off to a flying start as they won their first three games of the season beating the PL Bulldogs twice and the Boca Starz East team. The WB Tornados and the Boca Thunder Split their two games earlier in the week while the CS All-Americans edge out the ML Bombers 2-1
Miramar Canes split with the Boca Starz East and edges out the Stars 8-7 to go 2-1 over the weekend.

The 12u AAA division had the Coconut Creek Hawks split a pair with the Seminoles losing the first game 10-5 and then bouncing back 2-1.

 The 13u Majors had the SF Extreme making their FPBL debut in dramatic fashion as they beat the Parkland Pokers 11-3 the Pokers bouncd back with a 7-1 win over the West Boca Panthers. The Miramar Canes defeated the Pasadena Panthers 11-3 in their '09 debut game.

The 14U had the President's pick Miramar Maddogs go down to the Broward Orioles  8-3 while the Miami Lakes Lightning make an Impressive debut as they managed to tie the Cobras at 8-8. In the AAA division the Boca Bombers defeated the NM Bombers while the the PL Bulldogs and Sunrise All-stars suffered their opening day loss.

 All in all a good start to the season..............Hope that everyone enjoys the league.
