Canes 12u Win Heart-Breaker Tournament.............Defeat Cobras in Finals
The Miramar Canes 12 & under travel baseball team won the USSSA
Cobras
Heartbreaker baseball tournament in Pembroke Pines.
The Canes
went 1-1 in seeding games to begin elimination play as the
#4
seed.
They defeated the #5 seed Coral Springs Bombers 9 to 1 on
2/14 to advance to
the semifinal against the Miami Critters
In the
semifinal on 2/15 the Canes prevailed 8 to 2 over the top
seeded
Critters
The championship game was a homecoming of sorts for
six players and two
coaches who returned to the home of the Cobras, a team
they had played for
and coached for from the Cobras inception in August
2005.
The championship game was an offensive explosion as the Canes put
up 16 hits
and defeated the Cobras 13 to 7 to claim the
championship.
