We've done it with the 14u players and we've been very successful, where our kids have had an opportunity to show their talents against other teams from other cities.......well move over 14u Elite Squad, here comes the newest addition to the FPBL and that is the FPBL's Young Squad. The Young Squad is a team that under the direction of Howard Steirn, Weston Hawks Coach Gaspar Palmer, FPBL League President and Richie Palmer, University High School Coach  will be assemble to go to Cooperstown Dreams Park in 09.
The idea came together when Howard Steirn approach us about doing it with kids from the League and this is something I feel it would help those kids that for one reason or another would not have this opportunity to go. With the help from the Weston Hawks organization and the FPBL we're putting together a plan to fund this team & these kids to go to Cooperstown.

As for the tryouts, we had around 20 + players come out yesterday and we were extremely satisfied with the talent pool that came out. We will have an Intersquad game among most of the players that came out early in the new year and a final decision will be made after that.
