Summer Team Try-outs
When: January 11th, 2009
Where: Change to Nova Southeastern University
Time: 2:00 pm for 20011 and 2012 Grads
3:30 for 2010 Grads
Cost: FREE
The Elite Squad is coming off a very impressive 08 summer. Always playing up in age, The Elite Squad was able to accomplish some solid finishes in tournaments and some big upsets and are now rated as one of the better Summer Ball teams in the nation by Perfect Game Cross Checker as 17U when they were only 16U. The Squad looks to play their own age division as they will chase after a few championships this summer.
The South Florida Elite will also expand the organization this summer adding another 17U team as well as a 16U team. The purpose of expanding the teams into two 17 and under teams is to provide more playing time for each player and give them a better opportunity to be seen by collegiate coaches. Both 17 and under teams will travel to the same tournaments (East Cobb, GA etc.) as well as play the same amount of games. The 16 and under program will be treated with the same regard and be used as a farm system for the Elite. The 16 and under will participate in national tournaments like the Junior Olympics, Prospect Wire, Perfect Game and much more.
