9U Pembroke Lakes Bulldogs roars back and defeats Miramar Canes in extra Innings..............

Hey, Who will be in the Final Four ?
The PL Bulldogs after a rough start in the FPBL are getting back on track and last night was a perfect example of that. The Bulldogs lead 4-2 all the way into the Canes final at bat, when with two outs and runners on second & third base, Canes Nick Domoinguez delivered a base hit up the middle to tie the game and send it into extra Innings. The Bulldogs never got down on themselves despite allowing the Canes to tie the game.

The extra Innings were played as per league rules with the International tie-breaker NO outs and last batted out on second base. The Canes thought that game was in the bag, when they jumped out in front scoring 5 runs, but  as they say, in the 9U division a 5 run lead is not safe at any time and last night was the case as the Bulldogs came out swing and the got help on a costly error and walks, the Bulldogs took a bite out of Miramar scoring 6 runs in their half of the inning to defeat the Canes 11-10 in a tough but fun game between the clubs.
This was a big win for the Bulldogs as they get their first and crucial division win against Miramar.

In other 9U Division action, the Bears continued on their winning ways as they edged the West Pines Cobras last night 7-6. The Bears at 4-1-1 are right behind Miramar in the division race, Miramar's record dropped to 5-2 in the division and 5-4 overall. The Canes will see the tough rival in the West Pines Cobras on Saturday and then a rematch against the Bulldogs again next week.

Also, Wellington Warriors-Purple will get a visit from Team Renteria this weekend when Renteria travels to Wellington to face the Warriors. Team Renteria needs to come out of there with a split to have a shot at making the top 8 in the division, a doubleheader loss will be deadly for their hopes. Renteria stands at (2-3) and 0-3 in division play............it is early, but not so early.

The Warriors-Purple remains as the only undefeated team in the division at 3-0-1, but have yet to play some of the division leaders.

The race for the top in this group is close.................so who will be in the FINAL FOUR ?
