PL Bulldogs Darian Oliva applies  the tag on Canes Jordan Mercado

After getting off to 5-0 start the 9u Miramar Canes started another streak but this one was a losing one, the Canes lost their next five games in a row, most of them close games but nevertheless they were loses. Well last night it took a heads-up play by Trey Taliafero for the Canes to get back in the game. With the score 4-2 in favorite of the PL Bulldogs the Canes Taliafero reached first base on a error, followed by Jordan Mercado who walked and they would both steal second $ third base, with two outs an errant throw back to the pitcher allowed Trey to score and when a second errant throw from the catcher to third base the Canes even up the score at 4-4. The game would continued to be duel of pitchers, although they were a lot of walks on both sides, the winning would be scored on a bases loaded walk to Trey Taliafero.

These two teams will meet for many years to come and games like this will be the norm for the two, but as Coach Miguel said last night, " Coach we need to play these games on Friday's or Saturday's' Coach Miguel was referring to our games, because they have both been marathon games lasting well over two hours.
