Blaze Back on Top.............
In a thrilling crosstown matchup the Broward Blaze battled back to defeat the Weston Black Hawks 6-5. The game went to the Hawks early as they jumped to a 4 - 0 lead which included a stellar blast by Michael Gilman. But the next at bat by the Blaze would tell a story. Harry Carlton went yard to take the game to 4-1. Then the skies opened up and the game looked washed out. The Hawks ground crew waited it out and put a serious effort to get the fields ready...by 8:30 the game was back on. The Hawks kept control and finished the fourth with a 5-1 lead. In the 5th the Hawks picked up two quick outs with time running out. Alec Dominguez, Gabriel Valladares got on base followed by Kyle Tubman. Alexander Berry hit up the middle to score Kyle and bring the score to 5-4. Next up was Harry Carlton who was closing on the mound. Harry hit a 2 run home run to put the Blaze up 6-5 and in the bottom of the inning the Blaze defense shut the door for yet another win....and put them right back on top of the division.
