12U Stars fall...................13U Bengals rise to the top

After a 6-0 start by the Plantation Stars and defeating some good teams along the way, you're wondering what's going on with these Stars. Are they for real ? We know that former Marlins player Alex Arias is helping out whenever he can, but 6-0 from a team that did not played in the league last season, well the Ft. Wahoos put a blemish on the record, but it was not easy as the Stars fought hard to try and  keep their streak alive, but fell short 8-7 and dropped to 6-1 record for the season and remained on top of their 12U National Division. The Stars will try to get back on their winning ways when they face Pasadena on Tuesday.

After a long and frustrating last season for the once dominant 13U PPO Bengals
the pieces are starting to fall back into place. The Bengals have always been once of those teams that when you signed -up for a tournament, you hope that you wouldn't see them until the Championship game, because you knew that if it was in the first round of the elimination game, you were gone and you knew that ! that's how good that team has been. Well, things changed for the Bengals last season, not only did they have a dismal season, but got knocked out in playoffs, and for the first time in a long time the Bengals were the buzz in the 13's.............what's happened to the Bengals ? long time manager Mike White stepped down because of work related reasons and a few players decided to test the water across the pond, but now, under a new direction and with a new attitude the Bengals are back and on top again.

The Bengals had a score to settle against the Florida Sharks, after having to forfeit a game two weeks ago because of middle school ball and not being able to fill a team the Bengals took a 7-0 loss to the Sharks, well that score was settled on Friday when the Bengals pounded the Sharks 17-3. The Sharks on top of their division and one of the top teams in the 13's. Well another score was settled yesterday when the Bengals played the Broward Scorpions a team that over the years have played them tough and once beat them in the Triple Crown finals were the news was huge because of how good the Bengals were at the time................those times seem to be coming back as the Bengals took care of the Scorpions yesterday 10-7 and climbed to the top once again.

Well, while in some divisions you may be able to predict the winner, in this one you know that the road to the FPBL title will have to go through the Bengals once again.
