Our second Umpiring training class is scheduled for April 22nd at Silver Lakes Park. This is for "New" Umpires.......beginners class. The cost of these training classes are about $ 35.00 per class or $ 100.00 per term. Each umpire will be trained for  about 18-20 hrs on the field  & class sessions and upon completion will received a  certificate of completion. The league will require that all teams MUST  use USSSA Registered Umpires in the '07 fall season.  Already, 18 Umpires are registered and completed their first class and currently are being used in some Rec games at Silver Lakes Park. This is good experience for these kids that played at this facility.........and the little extra cash doesn't hurt either.......says League President Gaspar Palmer.
