FPS set to Kick-off the 8Under Divsion.....
Florida Premier Sports will start this season, for the first time ever an 8Under Division. A group of 10-teams will form the 8Under Coach/Kid pitched division. This division will be an instructional type of division, where games will be played strictly on the weekends and league rules will be modified to help kids develop their skills.
Teams will play doubleheaders and the first game will be Coach pitched and the second game will be kid pitched. This will help kids develop their skills a bit quicker. Many teams have jumped from Rec programs into travel ball and a lot of the kids get discourage because of not seeing kid pitched games prior to going travel ball.
The league is waving the league fees at this age and hopes that more teams join the program in the future. If you're interested in joining or having your park be a part of it, Please contact the league.
