Bastyan Hernandez trots around bases after 3-run blast

With more than 60 teams of the 125 playoff teams playing the first round of the League Playoffs a lot of excitement and some surprises. In one of the most competitive divisions that we have had in recent years, the 14 Under Division has proven to be an exciting and competitive pool of teams.

Last Season's League Champion Cannon Baseball came out to defend their title and did not disappoint. The Cannons were tested early as the Cooper City Cowboys gave them all they can handle with a tight contest were the Cannon came out on top 2-1. The cannon will face the team they defeated last season the title game in Mizuno and again another classic battle, this one would go extra Innings and again Cannon would defeat Mizuno 8-7 to advance to the quarterfinals.

In the 13u 54/80 Division another highly competitive pool of teams....PLO Wildcats Gastyan Hernandez gave the Wildcats an early lead against Coconut Creek Hawks with a 3-runblast over the right center field fence, but the Hawks fought their way back in the game with a late rally, before the game was suspended due to lightning. The Hawks and Wildcats will resume play on Monday with the Wildcats holding on to a 7-5 lead.
