  I want to thank USSSA for having a high school division for the USSSA New Years Tamiami Tournament. This was a reunion of a group of boys that started the premier League 8U division when we were 7.   We were a group who brought 8 teams to your league to begin your 8U division. Back in 2005 Sandlot brought a team to Pembroke Pines in a USSSA event we were 6U in a tee ball division which consisted of 8 teams from all over Broward. This tournament which started the Sandlot birth which won or became runner up in 40 tournaments. This team accomplished many big awards winning get in 2007 AAU National 8th player pitch Championship in Disney, winning get many USSSA events from 8U to 12U. Going to Cooperstown and placing 6th place of 107 teams was the last time Sandlot played consistently. We had a 14U reunion in which we won in Lake Worth a 15U reunion in which we lost in the semis and finally 16U in Tamiami which will be our last as Sandlot. These boys are more then players to me they are my boys and they are not just friends but brothers for life. I want to Thank you for the best 10 baseball years of my life. Just a little fact every player on Sandlot 8U,16U team all play high school ball I guess I did something right.
