Pembroke Pines, FL. In the first day of the First Year Players Draft four former FPBL Players were selected. Trea Turner a former West Boynton Mustang and Palm Beach Gator was the 13th player chosen by the San Diego Padres in the first round. Touki Toussaint was selected 16th overall by the Arizona Diamondbacks, Aramis Garcia played for the Cobras and FIU University was chosen by the SF Giants in the second round and 52nd player overall and Andy Suarez a who played for the PL Bulldogs was chosen by the Washington Nationals in the second round and 57th pick overall.
