11U Hollywood Heat Pitcher Throws No-Hitter
Hollywood, FL.
Adam Liotta from the 11U Hollywood Heat was dominant against the Ft. Lauderdale Lightning to throw the first no-hitter of his travel career on Oct. 24, 2013. Adam was backed up by fantastic defense from his teammates to preserve the no-hitter. Second baseman Dylan Marin made several gutsy plays to keep the no hitter going, and a scare was averted by Joey Luechauer who captured a bullet to right field throwing the batter out at first base. Adam helped himself by making three great plays on balls hit back to the pitcher and was aided by skilled pitch calls from catcher, Nathan Sanchez. The Heat supplied productive hitting and smart base-running to score 10 runs to give them their 7th win of the season. Congratulations to Adam Liotta and the rest of the 11U Hollywood Heat.
