Miami Mayhem Finishes Strong in League Playoffs, Placed Runner-up


PEMBROKE PINES, FL.

The “Miami Mayhem 12U Team “  in only their 2nd season reaches the championship game in back to back seasons.

The Miami Mayhem reaches the championship game by defeating the “Weston Red Hawks” 7-3 on Friday.  They continued their winning ways on Saturday led by outstanding pitching from Joseph Pinkston, Marcos Ruiz and solo HR’s by Cristhian Vega & Jose Reynoso which helped defeat the number 2 seed “SF Knights” 9-3.  Next up was the semi-finals against a tough Crush Baseball team but outstanding defense and timely hitting by the Miami Mayhem won the game 5-2 to reach the Championship Game.  After rain delays and bad weather at Driftwood park the start of championship game was delayed 2 ½ hrs.   The Cooper City Cowboys defeated the Miramar Canes 6-5 with a walk off hit in extra innings to make it to the semi-finals against the Sunrise Sharks.  The Cowboys held off a late inning rally with solid defense and clutch pitching to take a 4-3 victory over the Sunrise Sharks to make it to the Championship game. 

 

The champion game was full of emotions with several rain/lightning delays.  The Miami Mayhem had a 4-1 lead going into the bottom of the third inning.  The Cowboys bats came alive in the bottom of the third and never looked back as they took control of the game and won 10-4 defeating the Miami Mayhem.
