After a stormy Saturday at Silver Lakes Park, Miramar the 10th Annual USSSA Wood Bat Tournament came to a close. The Tournament had 77 teams take part, but it wasn't without a challenge. A typical Saturday morning shower put a damper on games at Silver Lakes Park and the scrambling begin as fields were flooded after a 10 minute monsoon that came out of nowhere.

The tournament was hosted at Silver lakes Park, Miramar and for the first time at the City of Plantation in Sunset Park along with Pembroke Pines Optimist.

The tournament is always a fun event for these kids that throughout the year swing metal bats, but when it comes to swinging the lumber, its a whole new ball game. Many of these games are low scoring games and for the most part games are played out in its entirely, so it is baseball and it is fun to see them swing it !

This year's Champions are the 9u Team MFS Legends, 10u Panama Mutiny, 11u Miami Prospects, 12u Weston Rattlers Elite, 13u Miramar Canes and 14u Gamewear Nationals. Congratulations to all the Champions and participating teams. We hope to see you all again next year.
