USSSA West Coast Nationals........Hopes to get a bit of South Florida flavor

Although the turnout from the West Coast Florida teams was not what we expected, we hope to bring a little flavor of South Florida Baseball to the West Coast.

A total of 42 teams will take part in our first USSSA West Coast Fall Nationals. The event has 6 divisions from 9u-14u and some of the best AA/AAA teams from the South will take on a a few from the West. The best supported division from both sides was the 12u Division where the Tampa Thunder, South Florida Bandits and the Naples Storm all from West Florida will take on four teams from the South and the St. Lucie Storm which is from our Palm Beach League. This is more of what we expected, but nevertheless the event will be one that we can build on........We started the Fall Nationals in the Treasure Coast 4 years ago and that has turn out to be a 60-70 team event each year. Tournament Director Gaspar Palmer/John Valeo are extremely pleased with the support that they have received from all of their teams in the south and very appreciative of those on the West Coast.

These teams will be competing for the traditional "Fall Nationals Crystal" award, which will go to the team Champion & Runner-up and 300 USSSA points.

Again, I'd like to Thank all of the participants of this event and lets all hope that Sandy will let us Play Ball !!
