Landon Grier of the 11U Weston Hawks Black pitched a perfect game to lead the Hawks to a win in the first game of the elimination round of last weekend's USSSA West Coast Fall Nationals in Naples. Grier faced the minimum 12 batters over 4 innings as the Hawks beat local division rival Coral Springs Sea Dogs 8-0. Grier, in his first season with the Hawks who are coming off back to back championship seasons struck out 4 Sea Dogs and was aided by solid defense by his teammates. He also helped his team by driving in 2 runs.
