The 12U PPO Bengals have won the USSSA Stealth Halloween Tournament held in Lantana.  The Bengals took on teams like Team Miami, SF Stealth, Coconut Creek Hawks, and the PLO Wildcats.  In the two seeding games we played the CC Hawks and just got by in a 10-9 game.  Than we took on Team Miami in a very well played game but came up short 3-2.  We had very difficult first playoff game vs the SF Stealth.  With outstanding pitching from Skylar Gonzalez we beat the Stealth 6-1. Skylar pitched all 6 innings and there 1 run was unearned.  Than we turned our sights on to the PLO Bulldogs.  We had a very good game hitting and pitching from Christian Vargas.  Christian shut them down.  On to the Championship vs Team Miami.  We were looking to get revenge on our first loss in this tournament.  We started Devin Roche on the mound.  Devin gave us 4 great innings, but unfortuantly we were down 3-0.  But in the 5th inning we were able to tie the game up at 3 a piece.  In the last inning, with a runner on first, Nicholas Picardo hit a 2 run blast to go ahead 5-3.  Jonathan Sosa closed the door for the last 2 innings.  Incredible baseball played by the Bengals!!!
