Home Run Derby Champion Gabe Greseth  and Participants


The Inaugural VBSV USSSA Smack-Down Tournament in Vero Beach was a Big Hit ! only 10 teams in the 12u division participated in the tournament, but it was all that everyone was looking for.

The New Youth Baseball Fields were a big hit. The newly built cloverleaf is Ideal for these types of events...we received a lot of compliments on the facility, staff and competition and even local people commenting on their days at Dodgertown, now known as the Vero Beach Sports Village. St. Lucie Mets Coach Daniel Stubbs " I grew up in Vero and remember my dad taking me to Dodger games and now to take my son to play on the same grounds that these guys walked in, It's an amazing experience"

Among the teams competing were Team Florida, Brevard Thunder Baseball, Suntree Slammers, CBC Riverhawks Coral Springs Inferno, St. Lucie Mets,Pompano Piranhas, Team Easton, Treasure Coast Young Guns.

Th event kicked-off on Friday night with a Home Run Derby and a Roadrunner contest. Over 40 players competed in the two events with Gabe Greseth from Team Worth winning the Home run Derby and Cody Louthan winning the Roadrunner contest.

Team Florida took honors as they defeated the TC Youn Gungs in the Championship Game.

We are making plans for future events in this facility. Already a June event is planned and our Fall Nationals will be played there..........so, when ever you see a USSSA VBSV Event make sure you attend, you will not regret it.
