The Outlaws 8u are crowned Champions again!

The Outlaws 8u are crowned Champions again as they win the Weston Hawks Pre-Season Tune Tournament. The Outlaws dominated the competition as they scored 33 runs and allowed 5 runs in 4 games going 4-0. The Outlaws pitched two shut outs against the Miramar Canes (11-0) and the Miami Elite (10-0) in their two seeding games. They got a semi finals rematch vs the Elite and pulled off a close victory in a 3-2 game. Ephraim Bravo saved the game with an amazing full extension diving catch in center field. This set the stage for another finals vs the Cobras. It was too much offence for the Cobras in a 9-3 rout. The Outlaws rolled over the Cobras on Sunday at Regional Park after a five-run rally in third. Anthony Ruiz had three extra-base hits for the Outlaws. Ruiz tripled in the third inning and doubled in the second and fifth inning. Cobras couldn't get anything going so long as Eddie Rueda toed the rubber. Cobras managed just three hits off of Rueda, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his 3 1/3 innings of work. Marlon Miranda (3B), Anthony Ruiz (2B,2B,3B), Nick Fraginals (2B) and Dominic Sorondo (HR) helped lead the Outlaws powerhouse hitting as they all crushed the ball. They combined for eight hits and eight RBI's. Dominic Sorondo sealed the game throwing 1 1/3 innings of scoreless baseball . The Outlaws just got invited to the USSSA Elite 8 Invitational only Tournament in Sarasota (May 11-13) to compete with the other best 7 teams in the state. The Outlaws will join the Miami Enforcers and the Miami Legends as the only three teams representing South Florida. Good luck boys and thanks to all who are part of this winning team!
