Team Southern Florida USA Baseball National Team Identification Series (NTIS)

The 2012 USA Baseball National Team Identification Series (NTIS) will consist of three separate age groups (14U, 16U, 17U). The event will be held August 24-26 and September 7-9, 2012 at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina. Per international age guidelines, players competing in the NTIS in the three age groups must conform to the following:

•                 2012 17U NTIS: born on or after Jan. 1, 1995, for the 2013 18U National Team

•                 2012 16U NTIS: born on or after Jan. 1, 1996, for the 2013 17U National Team

•                 2012 14U NTIS: born on or after Jan. 1, 1998, for the 2013 15U National Team

Teams within each age group will play a total of three nine-inning games. Programming for all age groups will also include USA Baseball instruction and education. The NTIS will present all participating athletes with great national exposure from college/university coaches and professional scouts. NTIS participants will also have the opportunity to develop their skills through an unparalleled baseball experience.

After the initial tryouts in the different areas of the region, the top 50 players in each age bracket will be participating in a 2 day workout, in July, that will decide who will be the representatives of the South Florida Team.

Players attending the NTIS in Cary, North Carolina may be invited by USA Baseball to future 14U or 17U Development Programs. Age eligible players may be invited to future 15U and 18U National Team Trials opportunities.
