12u SugarCanes going to Elite 32

The Sugar Canes 12U Travel Baseball team has started the spring season off with a bang.  After a fall season of limited practices, coupled with a 6 game losing streak. The Sugar Canes have always looked for the best competition to play and contribute much of their success to playing up an age group and playing teams such as The SF Extreme (8x) Miami Sugar Kings (4x)  and Team Florida (3x) in the past 7 months.  The Sugar Canes have qualified in each of its first 2 seasons for the Elite 32 World Series. The Sugar Canes started their impressive run of victories in the Winter Nationals where they finished in 2nd place to the Miami Sugar Kings.  Next up was the the Weston NIT where the Sugar Canes went undefeated and were able earn a hard fought victory in the championship against the always dangerous Miami Sugar Kings. And finally, the Sugar Canes traveled to Mississippi on March 3rd and captured the Gulfport Super NIT to qualify for the Elite 32.  Coach Sean Mercado and the rest of the staff realize how difficult it is to qualify for this prestigious event and look forward to improving upon last years 5-2 finish at the Elite 32 World Series in Orlando.  Much success to the other teams trying to qualify for the Elite World Series.  We look forward to seeing you in Orlando and representing the Florida Premier Baseball League. Go FPBL !!!
