Team MVP is at it again


After winning the Battle for the Belt in Sarasota Florida last Month against some of the top teams in the Country, Team MVP traveled to Atlanta this past weekend to face some of those teams that did not make the trip to Sarasota. And the results were the same as Team MVP finished the tournament 7-0 outscoring there opponents by a score of 65 to 12. Team MVP again faced some of the best teams from accross the south east part of the country with the same results. After going 3-0 in pool play (15-0 OTC Bearcats,7-3 6-4-3 DP Cougars, and 10-2 JSC Miners) Team MVP had its toughest challenge Sunday morning as the 6-4-3 DP Cougars from Georgia tied the score at 3 going into the bottom of the six. Angel Tibucio lead of the inning with a triple to right center and than would score on a sacrifice fly to right by Santiago Garavito. Final score 4-3 MVP, next up was the Tennesse Legends and Team MVP did not let up as they won 15-0 behind a great pitching performance from Micheal Machin, semi finals was against the East Codd Astros, after the Astros took a 1-0 lead in the first MVP came back to score 5 and win the game by a score of 11-3, again pitching was the key as Tony Roca shout down the Astros bats. The finals was against the Evoshield Canes from North Carolina (aka Carolina Cubs). And again Team MVP showed why they are ranked number 1 in the country by Travel Ball Select by beating the canes by a score of 9-0. Yordani Carmona was the winning pitcher in this one. Of the six teams MVP played 4 are ranked in the top 20 in the country by Travel Ball Select.This is the second SNIT win for Team MVP after having won the Thanksgiving SNIT in Disney.
