The 2011 Potamkin Hyundai Wood Bat World Series came to a close. The 10u Piranaz and the Prospects played to a 3-1 contest in a very well played game. Both teams reached the finals unbeaten, but the Piranaz pitchers kept the well coached Prospects in check.

In the12u Division Team Florida went 5-0 but fought a tough South Florida Extreme to win the Championship. The Extreme had a valiant effort with only 10 players beat a sound West Pines Cobras to get to the Finals, but couldn't hold off Florida. Team Florida Darius Diaz had two home runs in the tournament and was solid on the mound as well.

The 14u division had the underdog of the tournament Miramar Canes make it to the Championship Game, but the Canes felt short to the PL Wildcats in a losing effort. The Canes upset the Nike Cobras & Florida Pokers tp get to the finals. The Wildcats Anthony Molina belted three home runs in the tournament and was outstanding on the mound.
