Outlaws 8u win again! This time Kid Pitch Champs!

The Outlaws 8u end their season with a bang as they win the PPO Bengals Bash. This was only the Outlaws second kid pitch tournament, as they lost in the championship the week before to the Miami Legends in the Kendall Christmas Craze. The Outlaws were back at it the following week hungry to capture another title this year. The Outlaws faced some good teams as they defeated the Pokers 9-6 in the seeding games and beat the PBG Thunder 8-0 securing the #2 seed. They faced the Thunder again in the first round and defeated them 6-0 advancing to the semi-final versus the Cobras. The Outlaws defeated the Cobras 5-2 and were back in another consecutive championship against the Miami Enforcers. Pitching was the key to their success throughout the tournament as they used 9 different pitchers. This is their strength and it came through again in a big way. Derek Rahim started and pitched 3 solid innings allowing just 2 runs. Damian Hernandez pitched another solid 3 innings to close the game for the Outlaws. Early on the Outlaws were down 0-2 until AJ Wydra tied the game in the 4th inning with a two out double to center. The game remain tied 2-2 until the top of the 6th inning when Arnel Pichardo doubled to left cleaning the bases. The Outlaws took a 6-2 going into the bottom of the 6th inning and held on to the win as the Enforcers tried to rally back but fell short. The Outlaws had a great season as they played in 5 tournaments and went to 5 championships. They were both Coach Pitch Champs and Kid Pitch Champs. They were also the FPB runner ups. The Outlaws would like to congratulate everyone involved with the great success of the team.
