The Everglades/Glades Gators won their very first FPBL 18U Varsity Title on Saturday, July 30th, 2011 by defeating the ACND Knights 3-0 at Archbishop McCarthy High School.

Andrew Hernandez and lefty Adam Murray combined to secure the 4 hit shutout. The Gators used the 2 ace starters for the first time this year in the same game to secure the very coveted title. Alan Ruiz went 2 for 3 and Roni Nuesi also went 1 for 2 and knocked in 2 RBIs in in the bottom of the 5th to brake the 0-0 tie. Asdrubal Ramos also added 2 big hits in the win, and Freshman catcher Brandon Del Pozo went 1 for 2.
