As we get ready for our second Tournament of the Fall Season, with the the Rattlers NIT just concluding in spectacular fashion, possible Hurricane Irene may interfere with the tournament. It is too early to tell and Tournament Director Rob Murphy and myself will monitor the storm closely to see which direction it takes.

According to the Miami Herald Irene is expected to reach hurricane strength by Monday as it nears the southern coast of the Dominican Republic and Haiti. If the forecast by the National Hurricane Center holds, it could approach South Florida late Thursday or early Friday as a hurricane.

We hope that by early Tuesday we would have a better sense of where this storm is headed and then we can make a decision on this event.

We will make a decision on this event as soon as we have a bit more Information on the direction of the storm.
