Team MVP starts out their 11U season in grand fashion by winning the first two USSSA Tournaments. First it was the Western Rattlers USSSA Nit and this past weekend the Lantana Fall Season Bash. After getting through some tough games Team MVP advanced to the semi finals of the Lantana tournament still without a loss and ready to face two of the top teams in the South Florida area. First was the South Florida Stealth in the semi final. Pitching was the key for Team MVP all weekend long and it continued that way as Armando Sierra threw 5 innings of hitless baseball followed by Yordani Carmona inning of relief. Next up was the PPO Bengals and again pitching proved to be the difference as Tournament MVP Jordan Alvarez was able to silence the PPO Bengals bats for an 8-0 championship win. Counting the semi final and final game the pitching staff gave up a total of 1 run, 3 hits in 11 innings of work. Great team win as we move forward and continue to work hard and improve as a team.
