The West Pines Cobras 13U were runner-up in the 2010 Grand Slam World Series in Panama City. The Cobras battle injuries to come in second place. Cobras were 2-1 in seeding and the 6th seed going into the playoffs. We face the #3 seed Texas Knock Out and won 7-4. Then we played  the #2 seed Nightmare Baseball from Baton Rouge and defeated them 9-1 with timely hitting. Then came the game of the day #1 seed New Orleans Monarchs they have won every game with a run rule, but with great pitching and clutch hitting we were the only team to beat them 5-4. We made the Championship to face the Monarchs again after they went thru the loser bracket and defeated us 4-0. We only had 10 players and battling the heat and injuries the West Pines Cobras 13U are still champions!!
