Having the Top teams in a tournament for a tournament director it means that you have accomplish to put together an event where top teams want to play..........and why they want to play?Well primarily is because the competition and then  there is everything else, USSSA points, Location etc, but what took place yesterday in both the 11u & 12u division was  special for youth baseball.

The MBA 11u team had just finished winning the USSSA Super NIT that qualifies you for the Elite 32 World Series and so did the 12u MBA, so having them down here is special for the competition.

MBA 11u team found out that the competition in South Florida is slightly better than what they are used to seeing up in Central Florida. In pool play MBA faced South Florida's best in the PL BUlldogs and the West Pines Cobras, and the South Florida teams did not disappoint anyone as both won their games over MBA, but the classic game took place in the first playoff game as MBA would face the Bulldogs, it was  a rematch of pool play, so if the intend was to have the best play against the best...............MISSION ACCOMPLISH !!

The game was a classic, as both teams threw out their guns, with MBA Bryson Hutchinson and Bulldogs Roger Garcia, they would both pitch well, but would come out later in the game. MBA would go up 3-1 late in the game, but the Bulldogs would rally and tie the game at 3-3 in the bottom 5, the 6th Inning would go down quietly as neither team would score, so into the International tie-breaker we went and this is where MBA would find out the toughness of the PL Bulldogs. With 2 outs and a runner on third base, a passed ball would score  MBA's go ahead run, but they were not done, a base hit, a walk would lead to MBA's two run lead and with a runner on third the Bulldogs would make the move that probably gave them a chance in their at bat, as Manager Alex Fernandez brought out Toral to close-off  the inning, and that he did.

The Bulldogs seemed to be done when their first batter would go down for the the first out of the Inning, but as they have done many times before they would rally to tie the game and finish MBA with a perfectly executed squeeze play that would give the Bulldogs a 6-5 win and would send MBA down for the day as they would go 0-3............but don't get me wrong they are a legit top notch team in the 11u Division.

In the 12u a classic pool play game between two power house teams in LMC and MBA, while the game was won by LMC 1-0, they best is yet to come, both teams used several pitchers to get through pool play, but today CHAMPIONSHIP SUNDAY,  i'm sure they will see each other again, so will win the battle?.................we will have to wait and see if they both make it.
