The 9U South Florida Knights almost pulled off a huge upset in the last game of the season as they led the PPO Bengals 8-6 going into the final inning.  The Knights, led by the pitching of Gabriel Pena and Javier Rodil, had just finished shutting out PPO in the 3rd and 4th innings.  This allowed the Knights to come back from their 6-4 deficit and take the 8-6 lead going into the 5th.  PPO being the home team, scored the tying run with two outs in the bottom of the 5th.  The third and final out came as the next batter was struck out by Rodil. 

The tie allowed the Knights to take sole possession of the 4th spot in their division and clinch their first playoff appearance in their first season with FPBL.  Hats off to both teams as neither gave up and both showed a willingness to battle on until the end.
