8u Royal Palm Beach Hammerheads defeat CS Sandlot for the title.........Mo Steel Remains undefeated after a 10 run Inning

Cannot make it to the game, then get your FPBL tweets here

The RPB Hammerheads and the CS Sandlot are getting to know each other very quick, the two teams have played against each other in the last two events that FPS has hosted, back in October they met in the Fall Nationals and yesterday the two met again in the Championship Game. The Hammerheads Coached by David Marrero  who's team played solid defense and had a sound game with the bat came up on top in this match, the CS Sandlot Coached by Chuck Sinclair who's team bats were silence in today's game, but you can bet that these two teams will continue to see each other in many more tournaments down the road and in many finals...Congratulation to the Hammerheads on winning their first FPBL Title.

Mo Steel Baseball was on the brink of  losing their first game of the season to the Weston Hawks in last night's semifinal game, but they fought hard to come back from behind. The Hawks had played a solid game defensively and with the bats had pushed 9 runs across the plate against the southpaw from Mo Steel, but in 9 year old baseball the game is not over as they say 'til is over. With a 9-3 lead it looked like the Hawks would challenge the Frozen Ropes team for yet another FPBL title, but getting outs in the last Inning with a 9u team is not the easiest thing to do. The Hawks pitchers couldn't find the strike and it seemed that the strike zone was getting smaller and smaller. MO Steel was patient at the plate and took advantage of a few costly mistakes and lots of walk to rally from behind and score 10 runs in their last at bat to take a 13-9 lead, the lead would hold as Mo Baseball lefty would get the side out in the Hawks last at bat and run their consecutive game winning streak to 15-0. Mo Steel will try to go wire-to-wire  when they take on the North Division finalist in Frozen Ropes who defeated the Lakeworth Warriors to reach the Championship Game.
