Mid Season League Report.............Who will be there at the end?

Who's taking the title this season?

With only a month left on the regular season, there are teams yet to lose their first league game, not that we're hoping they lose, but if history is any Indication, when the season ends not many will be UNBEATEN. The last team to go wire to wire was the 06 PPO Bengals at the time they were a 12u team, the Bengals capped their magical season with a 1-0 win over he CS Diamonds winning 20 games that season.

Last season there was only one team that repeated as League Champion and that was the 8u Weston Hawks, the Hawks have the longest streak as league Champion as they are going for their third in a row. The Hawks are on a roll and remain as one of those team yet to lose at 10-0.

The 8under Division has the two finalist of the USSSA Fall Nationals on top as the CS Sandlot (8-1) have a small edge over Fall Nationals Champion RPB Hammerheads. All of the teams make the playoffs.

The 9under Division has the defending champions Weston Hawks on a roll at 10-0 but, will have a tough time in repeating this season. The division has 24 9u teams and are all very competitive, recent USSSA Fall Nationals runner-up Mo Steel gave team Miami all they can handle in the Championship Game, so look for Mo Steel to be there at the end. PPO Bengals opted for the Triple Crown tournament and won in St. Augustine although the competition there wasn't as good as in the Fall Nationals they too are a force to be dealt with. The National North Division has the Parkland Pokers at 8-1 and Wellington Colts at 7-4  leading the way, while the American North division the Lake Worth Warriors lead that division at 8-1 followed by the West Boynton Lightning at 6-2...........so the division and the FPBL title is up for grab.

10U Division has Team Renteria  on a roll, Renteria sits on top of the International Division at 8-1 followed by the PL Bulldogs at 7-2 while in the American Division the Weston Hawks-Black sit on top at 6-6 and over in the tough National Division, the West Boca Panthers with a 6-2-1 record are just ahead of the West Boynton Thunder, the Thunder another Fall Nationals participant and a solid third place finish.

11Under Division has the Weston Hawks-red leading the way in the National Division and the South Florida Knights lead the International with a 7-2  record followed by the Broward Scorpions at 5-5 in the American Division the Weston Rattlers Black lead the division at 6-6 with Baseball City USA right behind at 5-3.............last season Champion West Pines Cobras decided to move up and play 12's, so a new Champion will be crowned this season.

12u Division, this is probably one of the most competitive division along with the 13u. The addition of LMC to the league has brought a new twist to the league, not only do they have a history of being one of the best team in their class, but they have a swagger that they know that can beat you and usually that happens when they play you, so with LMC in the league and West Pines Nike Cobras an annual contender, this division will be tough for everyone else. The league leaders in the National Division the Nike Cobras are at 10-0 the American division is lead by the PPO Predators who are enjoying a good season at 7-3-1 and in the International division, the Margate Titans are at 9-0 followed by the PL Bulldogs at 8-2, the Bulldogs are playing up as well, but will only compete in their age class in the playoffs.

13u Division has another Interesting field of teams. Last season the Dynasty Elite team capture the Majors title by defeating the Panthers Baseball team, this season they have yet to meet in the league, but more than likely the two will be there at the end.

The Panthers winners of the Fall Nationals are 4-0 but trail the PL Bulldogs who sit at 6-2 with the Boca Thunder at 5-1 in second place, the National Division is lead by last season AAA Champion Plantation Stars who are 11-1 followed by the Coconut Creek Hawks at 10-2, the International division has the Cooper City Cowboys on top with a record  of 7-3 followed by Broward Jaguards and the Undefeated Weston  Black Hawks at 7-0 The Hawks will face the Cowboys this coming week.

The 14u American Division has the Miramar Canes at 10-1 leading the way followed by the West Boca Panthers at 5-3, the National Division has the race a bit tighter with the Rattlers on top at 9-3 followed by the Ft Wahoos at 8-3 and the Coconut Creek Hawks 7-4 The International Division has the Pl Bulldogs at 9-1 with the west Pines Cobras on their tail at 8-2-1 trailing by two points and the Cowboys stand at 7-5 only 6 points out of first place.

So, who will take the FPBL Crown this season?...........your guess is probably as good us mine
