Championship Day........but Not many surprises
Well, let's see how my predictions have gone so far, since a lot of Coaches have been giving me heat........ 9U Righ on the Money!!!! the Cobras scaped an upset last night when my long shot Miramar Canes came back and tied the game only to loose it 6-5, the Cobras will face my other pick in the Wellington Warriors.......NOt a bad prediction here.
Over in the 10's a bit of a dissapointment because both the CS Panthers and W Boyton Tornados were eliminated by my long shot pick Wellington Warriors and the Dynasty Elite team lost to the Cobras 4-3 in the last inning on a passed ball, but the long shot is in the finals, so if you're scoring I'll take a B on this one.
The 11U has the long shot team CS Sandlot in the finals against the Broward Scorpions, the Scorpions I picked to go to the finals against the Miami Curve, but they lost to the CS Snadlot who barely got past the PL Chargers 6-5........so, I'd say Not bad with this prediction I'll score myself with a B+
The 12U is where I missed the boat as they say.......the West Pines Cobras took care of my long shot in the Claydogs 4-0 and then defeated one of my finals pick in the CS Diamonds by the score of 7-2 so here is not so good yet, but now they must face the big horse in this division in the PPO Bengals who cruised in their bracket by beating the Maddogs 6-1 and the Florida Lions 7-2. Now, we'll wait and see if the PPO Bengals make FPS History or the Cobras will continue to prove me wrong.........I guess we'll have to wait to find out.
The West Boyton Mustangs have really surprised me in this division. The Mustangs got into the playoffs by eliminating the Margate Vipers in the last game of the season and since then they have been un-stopable, they destroyed my sentimental pick in the Miramar Canes 13-1 and then yesterday took care of my long shot 9-6 after a 9-0 lead going into the last Inning now, they go against the big horse in the Hialeah Tigers in the finals, so will they prove me wrong? well they must play the game. Again if you're keeping score give me a B+ and I'll be happy with that.
The 14U has one of my choices in the finals, in the SF Snappers Blue, they took care of business by defeating the SF Blaze and the Coral Springs Pirates 9-2 In the other side a bit of a surprise when the Pasadena Panthers lost to the Parkland Pokers, the Pokers face the Homestead Storm who defeated the Plantation Stars 7-4. The Pokers and Homestead Storm score was not reported, the winner advances to the finals.
The 16U division "I hit the nail on the head".......but I have a little more knowledge in this age group having Coached against these teams in the past and knowing a lot of the kids playing in the league. As I said that If Dematties can get past the Seahawks they could win it all, well Dematties beat the Seahawks 6-1 and then behind the pitching of Tyler Palmer of 4 shutout Innings defeated the SF Crushers 4-2.......I had to plugged him in there he is my son after all. In the other side the Broward Nationals pulled an upset when they knocked off the Parkland Pokers 8-0 in the semi final and earlier defeated the Snappers 3-2. The Nationals will go against the CS Colts for the title.
Well, if you followed all of my predictions you can not disagreed that they're all almost right on the money..........right!!!! and if you're with me I'll give you one more, but on this one you can go the bank and bet it all!!!!!! that's right this is as the "Bookies" say a CAN'T missed pick...................so here it is bet on the Miami Dolphins to win the Super Bowl that's right, who cares if they're 3-6 they can pull it off trust me on this one, the Super Bowl is in Miami this year, but when you bet, bet your money, don't call me.......I'm broke.
