The PPO Bengals 13u take it all in the NIT AAA division
Super NIT AAA 13U Champions
March 20, 2011 The PPO Bengals 13u won their first USSSA tournament this weekend, being crowned the NIT AAA champions. The Bengals won all of the 5 games they played in and had two impressive wins from behind. The weekend started by the Bengals winning their first game in extra inning's in a Kansas city tie breaker. Then the Bengals defeated the Pasadena panthers in their second seeding game, taking the first place seeding in their pool. The boys had a long day ahead of them on Sunday having to win three games to become the NIT AAA champions, but they arose to the challenge and did it. They beat the very talented PL Wildcats in the bottom of the sixth with time expiring. They beat the Cooper City Cowboys in the second elimination game and went on to beat the Weston Black Hawks in the championship game, a full seven inning game.
The coaches and parents are super proud of the boys. They not only won, they did it in style and how baseball is suppose to be played, as a team. They now get a free berth to the USSSA world series in Orlando along with 300 USSSA points. Their defense, pitching, and hitting was right on target and they were clutch when they needed to be. The parents deserve their own trophy for the commitment they make to this team and to their boys. Once again the coaches would like to say that we are very proud of our boys and thank them for this great accomplishment. We are the champions and guess where we are going this summer.
