SFBA USSSA Drafted League Kicks off its second year................
Miami Lakes Players having "FUN" at WP All-Stars Tournament
The South Florida Baseball Alliance kicked off its second year with the West Pines All-Stars Memorial Day Tournament. The league is spearheaded by David Dominguez and Gaspar Palmer along with all Alliance Member Clubs that includes 8 Optimist Clubs from throughout the area.
The SFBA is design to provide competitive baseball for all In-house programs, with specific rules and guidelines to prevent travel teams and players from participating, once the season has begun. Our goal is to bring back the "FUN" to these kids that play year round baseball in an optimist club and do not see tournament play. With the guidance and control of all Members of the SFBA we're making a difference in South Florida. The league grew to 8 clubs in just our second year of operation, we have received calls from other clubs that will come on board next year.
This summer the FPS Cup Series is being played at four different parks and is composed of four events in which points are tally and a Champion is crowned at the end of the series to the Club with the most points in the Series.
In the Fall the league has it's Fall Championship where each club division champion competes against other clubs division Champs, this un-like the All-Stars gives kids an opportunity to play for bragging rights.
