The ML Outlaws 8u won the USSSA Best of the Best NIT Tournament in Alabama adding another Championship to their already impressive resume. The Outlaws faced a tough team from Georgia in the semi-finals, the Yard Dogs Black battled hard but the Outlaws pulled it off with a 6-4 score. Tito Ortega provided solid pitching as he allowed 1 run and struck out 3 and Bailey Llamoca provided punch with a big triple. With the win the Outlaws advanced to the Championship game against the Scorpions Baseball Academy. The bats really came alive as the Outlaws pounded the Scorpions with an 18-2 score. The Outlaws exploded with a season high 21 hits in the game as Nick Ditas went 3 for 4, Dante DeJesus went 3 for 4 and Gaby Santana went 3 for 3. Ryan Del Corro and Tito Ortega also hit two monster triples in the game. The MVP went to Ryan Del Corro as he pitched a complete game allowing only 3 hits, 2 runs and striking out 3 batters. It was definitely a long ride home for the boys but it was well worth it as they brought back to Miami another title.
