Pembroke Pines, FLORIDA - July 14 - Lantana's Rob Murphy has accepted the position of USSSA Tournament Director for Palm Beach County. We'd like to welcome Rob to our USSSA family and wish him the best. Rob currently runs the facility in Lantana and has been the driving force in getting those fields ready for baseball again, for many years Lantana Park was the home of many AAU Tournaments and many kids grew up playing ball in that park.......well, Lantana Park It's back and better than ever, Thanks to Rob Murphy and Scott Blair just to name a couple of guys that I know have done a lot of work to get it
back in shape.

Rob Murphy's appointment comes at a time where we need a local person to represent USSSA Baseball in Palm Beach County, with the merging of the two leagues and the growth of USSSA Events in Palm Beach, Rob along with Jeff Montpetit,  FPBL Assistant League Director and Martin County USSSA Tournament Director will make USSSA Baseball and the Florida Premier Baseball League one BIG Family.


Rob, will take on his first challenge as a USSSA Director in Lantana on August 23-28th when he will be hosting the USSSA Lantana Fall Season Bash Tournament.

The Florida Premier Baseball League  will assist Rob in this event with a 2 for 1 deal. Teams playing in this event can play in the FPBL and the USSSA Fall Season Bash for 575.00.............there is only one catch and that is, that we can only take 8 teams per division, once those spots are taken it's gone. We will open registration through the FPBL League site this coming Friday July 15th and  you will be able to choose your dates & times, this will only be for teams that pay on line. Teams that would like to pay by check can send the check to Rob and once it is received your dates & times will be blocked.

This is a USSSA Sanctioned Tournament and everyone is WELCOME to play, you DO NOT HAVE TO PLAY IN THE LEAGUE to play............everyone is welcome. Teams that are not in the Premier League will have to pay the regular tournament fee $ 450.00
