“Everything you do in baseball you do in life, and everything you do in life you do in baseball." Cal Ripken Sr.” “Practice does not make perfect. Only perfect practice makes perfect”
Great quotes that the PL Wildcats 10U put into use and brought home 1st Place trophy from the Cal Ripken Experience Summer Slam tournament in South Carolina.
The PL 10U Wildcats, mustered up every ounce of strength assembling a complete team effort with all 12 players, Head Coach & Assisting coaches contributing to the overall team success . The PL Wildcats fought through 100 degrees temperatures, battling amongst 19 teams in the division, with several states been represented, the Wildcats played 9 games in 5 days and finally emerged victorious behind the closing efforts of their pitching, hitting & defense defeating The GA Longhorns 7-5, to become forever more the 2011 10U Cal Ripken Experience Summer Slam Tournament CHAMPIONS.
The PL Wildcats were also the champions in the “Turn Two” competition, making history again by doing it in the fastest time recorded @ Cal Ripken Experience history for the past 5-6 years, they were also runner-up in the homerun derby. Adding these phenomenal wins to their list of accomplishments. It was a great and real demonstration of perseverance, endurance, hard work, sportsmanship and team work, all put together by the players, coaches and of course the parents and their amazing support! This is the second amongst three consecutive tournaments won by the PL 10U Wildcats this summer.
