Murray Pitches Gators into Summer Ball Championship Game
The Glades Gators have advanced
to the Championship game in the FPBL Summer Ball Varsity division. The
Gators defeated the American Dream Team, 5-2, behind the masterful
pitching performance of lefty, Adam Murray. Murray had the Dream Team
baffled at the plate. Murray pitched 5 innings, striking out 8, and
allowing only 1 hit. He left the game with the Gators leading 5-0. Lee
Ratliff Jr. pitched the final 2 innings to close out the game.
The Gators offense was led by
Alan Ruiz, and Asdrubal Ramos. Both players had key hits to drive in
runs. The Gators await the winner of the ACND Knights and Clewiston
game. The championship game will be played on Saturday, 7/30, at
Archbishop McCarthy High School. Game time is scheduled for 1:30 P.M..
