Carlos Cartaya Jr. broke a 2-2 tie going into the bottom of the fourth with a left center 2-run triple to give the Mavericks a 4-2 lead against a pesky West Boca Bulls team. The Mavericks defeated the Bulls 9-5 and will now face the Starting9 in the Junior Varsity Division on Saturday at 11:30 at Archbishop McCarthy High School.

Starting9 advanced to the Championship game in the FPBL Summer Ball JV division with a 7-1 win over West Boca Lions.

Cody Fuchs pitched 5 scoreless innings and left the game with a 7-0 lead. Starting9 closer,the young upcoming freshman Brett Alayon, came into the game with bases loaded, 1 out, and  allowed 1 run on an overthrow to 3B from the catcher. Startin9's offense was led by the bottom of the line up were Austin Heim had a 2-RBI double, Zack Stilwell hit a triple and Patrick Miller (upcoming freshman) hit another 2-RBI double.

In the Varsity Division the ACND Knights defeated  Clewiston 7-3 to advance to the Championship Game and will take on the Glades Gators at 2:00PM at Archbishop McCarthy High School.

The Freshmen Division Championship has the Raiders taking on the Miami Suns and that game will be at 9:00AM
