Florida Premier Sports has taken a major step in the world of youth travel baseball. The league has agreed in principal to be host to the FPS/USSSA Sanctioned League in South Florida. Teams in the league will get what they've wanted and that's a backing of a major affiliation in youth sports. Now, teams will earn points for their placement in the league. Teams will receive points that would help them in the seeding when attending a USSSA World Series event, teams that place first or second in their division will earn a birth to a World Series event of their choice. All tournaments run by FPS will now be Sanctioned by USSSA, therefore allowing teams to qualify for World Series events throughout the country.
Any organization Interested in running a USSSA Tournament will have the backing of FPS, for more Information Please, contact the league.
In the next couple of days we will announce the dates and location of the Coaches Meeting. Also, a plan for a Sunday's League only is in the works, for those teams that can only play doubleheaders on Sundays. We're looking forward to a new beginning in 2007 with USSSA baseball on our side.
