In game 2, the SF Eagles defeated the # 2 seed Ft Lauderdale Lightning (10 -1), behind a 4 for 4 hitting performance by the Eagles' lead off hitter Richie Larin and a 4-inning pitching performance by Brandon Cruz who held the Lightning to one unearned run on 2 hits. The SF Eagles were also helped at the plate with key at-bats by Nicholas Gambardella, Felix Taveras and Julian Correa which allowed additional runs to score.
The SF Eagles saved the best for last in the third and final game of the day against Team Rays. The Eagles scored 15 runs to knockout the Rays for a final score of 15 - 7. The SF Eagles were led on the mound by Jordon Pacifico who pitched 3 innings and also contributed offensibly by going 2 for 2 at the plate hitting a grand slam and a solo home run to drive in 5 runs, Brandon Gil, Chris Castillo, Ian Martin and Brandon Cruz drove in 2 runs each to help the SF Eagles finish off a long day of baseball with a final win. Tyler Morales, who is sidelined with an injury, provided all the moral support needed for the victorious SF Eagles.
The SF Eagles will soar to new heights on Sunday, Nov. 20th when they play in the 13U AAA North-South final championship series at Pembroke Shores Park in Pembroke Pines.
